When I was a kid, I actually detested reading. Well, that's not entirely true. I hated it because I was told I would never catch up to reading level and worse from my teachers. I adored reading itself. From the time I was in about third grade, I knew I wanted to be a writer. I  just didn't believe I could do it. Eventually, I learned to allow myself to love reading and writing despite what the test scores were saying. 

​I've written everything from a poorly plagiarized version of The Rainbow Fish, an overly sad and absolutely unhinged Peter and the Starcatcher retelling, and now I'm focused on the Gothic Horror genre, because I am nothing if not melodramatic. I've spent over half my life studying craft, honing my own skills and learning how to engage readers. I've had great resources available to me and I want to use the knowledge I have to help others just getting started or nervous to hit the send button. ​
